A WARNING
HAZARD OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK! Before removing any access panels of servicing the water heater, make sure the electric supply to the water heater is turned “OFF”. Failure to do this could result in DEATH, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
Failure to place the thermostat behind the thermostat bracket and against the tank could cause overheating resulting in DEATH, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Water Heater Thermostat Series
KST202 SERIES controls are designed to meet the high electrical capacity requirements of electric water heaters. The speed and force of contact separation provides long-dependable control life at high electrical loads.Approval: UL,CUL
Single throw, 120/480 VAC,for single element tanks. Energy saving range setting. Built in safety switch to prevent overheating. Cross-reference:59T SPST+66T. All thermostats are adjustable,UL certification. TOD H/HLS single element thermostat.
1 Shut off the electric power to water heater. 2 Remove access panel and fold back the insulation. 3 Remove the personal protector cover over the thermostat. 4 Determine which is your wiring from the diagrams above. Then disconnect wires from thermostat and slide it our of the bracket. 5 Place new thermostat in the bracket, making sure it fits firmly against the tank. 6 Attach the wire to the new thermostat and cover the thermostat cover. 7 Carefully fold insulation back to cover the thermostat and replace access panel. 8 Turn on electric power to the water heater.
